Ba Xian

(Eight Immortals)

Floral Honey and Orchid Aroma

Long-lasting Aftertaste

This tea is derived from a venerable, asexual propagation of a Song Dynasty varietal, with only surviving eight plants located in one area. The unique growth pattern of these plants on Wudong Mountain resembles the myth of the "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea," hence the name "Ba Xian" (Eight Immortals). The Ba Xian Dancong plants are tall, with a semi-open structure, medium branching, and slightly upward-angled leaves. The leaves are oval-shaped, deep green in color, with a slightly raised surface and edges that curl backward in a wavy pattern.

The dried tea leaves are tightly rolled and large, with a glossy black-brown hue. When brewed, the tea produces a bright, golden-yellow liquor that offers a smooth and refreshing taste, characterized by a distinct floral honey and orchid aroma. The Aftertaste is long-lasting and persistent, featuring a strong and pleasant sweetness that lingers on the palate.
